Take a peek, if you haven’t visited yet! :) )įor future reference, you can get to the shop by clicking here… ( did you know I have my very own shop on Amazon filled with all the things I use and love here on the blog? I even filled it up with a bunch of pretty decor items I love too! So if you are ever looking for a product I’ve used but can’t remember the post it’s in, be sure to check the shop as I’ve tried to include pretty much everything. You can find the Silhouette Bundle I found in my shop, here > Artsy Chicks Rule Shop. I just wanted to put a post together that goes over how very simple it is to use this thing. Now, this is not a sponsored post, however, I have included an affiliate link to an awesome Silhouette Bundle I found. Maybe one day I’ll have the time to learn it all. I know it is capable of doing so much more than I utilize it for but it is so worth every penny for what I do use it for! There is a bit of a learning curve and with everything going on with the blog and the projects I need to keep up with for the blog, there was never that much time to learn. I’ve had the Silhouette Cameo for years but didn’t really use it that much in the beginning. It’s great for just using the vinyl letters, or creating a stencil to paint in the letters/image…or even creating the letters by painting the project piece, applying the cut vinyl, painting a contrasting color over top and then removing the vinyl letters/image to reveal the color underneath. I’ve spent a lot of time painting in lettering and such over the years and still do sometimes.īut I have to tell you how much time my trusty little Silhouette Cameo saves me. If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you surely know that I’m a sign, graphic, quote loving girl! :) It’s a game changer and easier than you think! Like katsmtk says, you can always change your line color in the Line Color Window.ĭid you know Silhouette has a YouTube channel with all sorts of video tutorials? It's a great place for beginners and up.Learn how to import your own designs into Silhouette Cameo. You can still increase the weight if you want it to look thicker. Instead of changing the line weight, in that same Line Style Window at the bottom you have the option to "print lines of selected shapes". I often cut a little ways out from my object to give a sticker type look. You can also use the Offset tool to create different borders. Cutting on the same spot as where you have placed an outline to have printed will reduce the amount of color outline showing so you may want to increase the outline to make sure it shows enough. If you are going to also cut the item out you will have to set the item back to red and 0 so that it will know where to cut. You will also have to change the line weight to something higher than the 0 weight it will be set at or it will not print. Select the outline and go to line colors and select whatever color you want. I was wondering if it was possible to change the color of an outline. What I am trying to do is take an outline of something and print it but I do not want it to print in red.I have the design edition software.I feel like I am missing something really easy but I cant for the life of me figure this out.Any help would be appreciated:)
